StenoCast Warranties and Technical Support Options
All StenoCast products come with a one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in manufacture and/or materials. In other words, if our device fails to function as designed and not as a result of outside damage, we will repair or replace the component, at our option.
StenoCast also provides coverage under our StenoCare Protection Program. In addition to the manufacturer's warranty, the StenoCare Program provides coverage against accidental damage due to drops, spills, power surges, etc. If a product is covered under the StenoCare Program, each transmitter and one USB Ez Receiver is entitled to a one-time replacement if accidentally broken. Lost or stolen components are specifically not covered.
The StenoCare Program is available for the EDGE, EDGE JR, X7 & RED
The StenoCare Program should be initiated at the time the StenoCast products are purchased. However, you may add StenoCare to your StenoCast products after the date of purchase of your StenoCast products. The following limitations will apply: The manufacturer's warranty is extended for the length of the StenoCare term you select. Unlimited technical support is likewise available for the term of the StenoCare contract. However, the no-fault accidental damage coverage is not available on equipment that is not covered by StenoCare from the date of original purchase. In other words, the no-fault accidental damage coverage is only available for StenoCast realtime equipment if StenoCare is purchased at the same time the realtime equipment is purchased.
Please note: Support is distinct from Training. Hardware failure or software error messages fall within the category of Support. Instruction regarding CAT software or litigation-support software is Training. Training is available by appointment. 24 hours advance notice is required.
Customers who are enrolled in the StenoCare Program receive unlimited telephonic technical support Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time. An internet connection is useful in most cases. In some cases we will email you a support link. You simply click on this link to enable us to remotely access your computer and then assess and correct the issue on your computer.

Customers who have not enrolled in the StenoCare Program may receive telephonic technical support for 30 days from the date of purchase. Thereafter Customers may visit stenocast.com to view online videos and manuals or to download drivers.
Free unlimited email support is available to Customers who are enrolled in the StenoCare Program Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Email your support questions to support@stenocast.com. Every attempt is made to respond to emails promptly.
